Default Low resolution issue w/Thinkpad X1CT & USB 3.0 Dock

Hi everyone, I'm having a low resolution issue w/Thinkpad X1CT & USB 3.0 Dock while paired with a 30" Apple Cinema Display. I'm connecting the dock to the monitor using the dual-link DVI port (+) (I've tried both ports) but can only achieve a maximum 1280x800 resolution--the only allowable setting. I'm running Windows 8 on the Thinkpad and do have the latest BIOS, Drivers, and DisplayLink software installed (v7.1 M1) and the USB 3.0 cable is plugged into the right hand side of the laptop (the USB 3.0 port). I tried the same monitor using the mini-display port with Accell's mini-DVI to dual-link adapter and can easily achieve numerous resolutions including 2560x1600 with no problems at all. When I purchased the laptop and dock I was told that I would be able to achieve up to 2048x1152 resolution with the USB 3.0 dock. I did try a second brand new dock (warranty replacement) from Lenovo with no improvement. Any idea what may be the issue and is there a fix using the Thinkpad and USB 3.0 dock combination?

Thanks in advance!

Dual Link DVI is not supported, so the max resolution of the dock on each output is 2048x1152. to achieve 2560x1600, you will need a DisplayLink product with DisplayPort out.

Thanks Wim, however Dual Link is not the goal... I would be thrilled with 1920x1200 out of any one of the ports. Right now, it's not happening... as I mentioned the max resolution I can get is only 1280x800. Do you have an update planned that will resolve this issue?

It is working as designed. The modes you will be offered are those reported by the monitor AND supported by the adapter. This means the next highest mode after 2560x1600 offered by the monitor is 1280x800, which is why this is the highest mode offered.
