Just curious, has anyone tried the new 10.8.1 beta update? I have it but have been reluctant to install it as I don't want to lose my DisplayLink adapter. On the other hand, perhaps it fix some of the issues we have had.

I tried it. Didn't fix any of my problems with the driver.

That is unfortunate. However, at least it didn't break it either. I guess I will go ahead and update then.

That is very disappointing to hear ... I was (and probably DisplayLink) was hoping 10.8.1 would fix these issues. Looks like a Time Machine restore to 7/26 is in my near future. DisplayLink is one of many vendors not properly ready for Mac OS X 10.8

It has been such a PITA the past three weeks. I do not even use my 2nd external monitor driven by DisplayLink device now.
