Lost my displays with latest Nvidia driver
I am using the latest Nvidia driver ( 301.42 ) and my 2 7 inch displays will no longer work. The display link service keeps restarting.
Backdated to Nvidia driver (296.10 ) same problem occurs, I don't think it is related to the Nvidia drivers, something is messed up with the display link drivers. I have generated and attached the support files. I am running a 3 monitor setup with 2 GTX 470 cards in sli. Last edited by obewan; 05-30-2012 at 03:31 AM. Reason: updated info |

Note that the displays were working fine just recently and will work on other PCs.

SLI mode is not tested or supported, so there could be issues. I think you got lucky with the DL software version and the NVIDIA driver if it worked before. Can you try in non SLI mode and see if there are still issues?

I have been able to get it to work sometimes but never with a Display link driver later than 6.1.36490. I had it working recently with the latest Nvidia driver but had to do a system restore and it is back to not working again. Why does your service keep restarting? You can see the display when the service starts. I am not so sure it is sli as much as the surround that is the issue.
One more thing is that the Nvidia driver won't make any changes to the display configuration with the display ling client running. |
