CODI Port Replicator and HP 350 G1 Laptop

Got a CODI port replicator to use with my HP 350 G1 Laptop running Windows 7 64 bit. Using HP 27er monitor. The port replicator passes everything running through USB connection. But no display appears on the monitor using the HDMI connection from the port replicator to the monitor. Switched to a direct HDMI cable connection from the laptop to the monitor and the display is on the monitor screen. During initial port replicator setup I got a message saying DisplayLink may not work with older Intel USB 3.0 port controllers. Using Device Manager I next checked all drivers and confirmed all are running the latest drivers. How can I get the display to pass through the port replicator to the monitor display from the laptop? I appreciate any help, thanks.
