Default Win 8.1 SD3500v XPS M1710 BSOD

Windows 8.1 Enterprise
Kensington SD3500V
Dell XPS M1710 (GeForce Go 7900 GS)

Windows Update Driver 307.68 (driver through windows update that was not available in Win 8, but present in the 8.1)
DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Windows 7.4 M2
  1. Install the displaylink drivers
  2. Wait to see it exit
  3. Wait to see it start again
  4. Configures and exits
  5. Wait for a few minutes
  6. Plug in the USB Cord
  7. Starts to detect devices attached to that USB cord.
  8. Gets ready to configure the new displays and BSOD.
I know this is some older hardware and I saw another user having issues with the Geforce Go 79xx series. I believe at the time there was not a new enough supported video driver. This driver currently passes the date check in the support tool.

Can we maybe track down this BSOD and fix it?

Hi

I'm afraid the Geforce 7900 card is not supported with our latest drivers due to interaction problems with the NVIDIA drivers for this card.

You can use v6.2 or earlier with this card on Windows 7 or earlier, but this will not work for Windows 8 or later and our software.
