Default App Incompatibility

I wanted to note that having a Display Link device connected while running "Age of Empires III" from MacSoft / Destineer Games causes the game to crash on startup with the error

An unrecoverable error has occurred, and Age of Empires III cannot continue.
Press OK to quit the program.
Simply disconnecting the USB connection before running the game solves the issue.

Thank you for your observation. As said in the release notes - some software does not work. Most of them just check if it's a inbuilt graphics card, even if they could run on DL displays.

Does it keep running when you connect a DL display ?

Yes, you can reconnect the display after the game has reached the menus and it works fine.
