the second Display dosent work

Hello, I have a Macbook Pro and two Cinema Displays. Since I can only connect one display directly, you've got the USB adapter and tried the Cinema display to the USB port to connect. to get the signal from the Mini Display Port to USB, I used a Gefen DisplayPort adapter. The Macbook can also detect the display and I can also make settings on the Macbook, but the screen stays black. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks from Germany for your help
