Hi,
I'm quite new about this so sorry if there is things i miss. I have a Dell DisplayLink with me model D3000. I connected the main cable to the power , a cable to my usb port on my computer and i have a screen with a cable which is DVI on the screen and HDMI in output, so i plugged it in on HDMI. I'm on windows 10, i installed the DisplayLink Manager and rebooted. When i plug the usb on my computer, i heard the sound that it detects it successfuly, but it doesn't detect my screen. And this screen works when i plug the HDMI directly to my computer. I tried to go to display settings, nothing. I have to say i pluged a usb wireless mouse and it works. Thank you ! |

Hi There,
Apologies for the lack of response. The best way to report issues such as this is to raise a support ticket, which you can do by following the link for how to report issues in my signature below. Alternatively, if you'd like to stay on the forums here, please could you confirm a few details about your set up for me, just to confirm that I have it right. You have a Dell D3000 docking station that you are have set up with a computer attached to the USB cable from the dock. From the dock, you have a HDMI to DVI cable plugged in to the HDMI output on the dock and then into the DVI connection on the monitor. The monitor is not detected through the dock, but is detected when directly connected to the computer. If all this is correct, please could you confirm which version of the DisplayLink driver that you have installed? Also please could you check in your Device Manager as this often shows whether the driver is installed correctly or not. If all of the above is fine, please could you provide us with logs from your system, again by following the link in my signature, as mentioned previously. Kind regards, Andrew

@AndrewJDawson Thanks for you answer !
The description you gave is exactly correct. The thing is i'm quite new in this and i don't see where i'm suppose to see the version of the driver or where i'm suppose to see it in the device manager. What i know is that i have DisplayLink Manager version 9.3.2992.0. Thank you ! |

Hello again,
It looks like the logs you have sent are missing the DisplayLinkManager logs. Sometimes this happens if you haven't run the log collector as administrator because these logs are located in C:\Windows\Temp\DisplayLink. Would you be able to put the logs from that directory into your zip file and re-upload please? Kind regards, Andrew

Hello,
The device is not recognised by the system in the logs you sent. Unless the device shows in device manager, the driver isn't chosen by Windows. From the model, you may want to try a USB2 cable or connect the device on a USB2 port. Alternatively, you can contact the manufacturer for hardware support. Kind regards, Alban
