Angry M1 MacBook Pro, everything worked fine until Sequoia 15.2

Now my two external monitors both show up in DisplayLink Manager settings, but the system is treating them as one display - the red frame box shows up on the same display when i hover over one or the other. One display is blank, the other shows up. I can switch which shows up by clicking the toggle on-off switches, but there is no way I can get both displays on as extended screens. In MacOS display settings it only shows one single external display. TLDR my two external monitors either mirror each other or only one will display. Everything worked fine until I upgraded to Sequoia 15.2.

Thank you for the lead. I posted over there and I have e-mailed the support desk as well. Hoping for an update that fixes this soon! How am I supposed to get things done with only TWO monitors lol?

Smile Workaround using MacBook built-in HDMI

FYI for those in a similar situation. I have found a temporary workaround by plugging one of the monitors into my MacBook's internal HDMI port and running the other via my DisplayLink adapter.

I finally fixed the problem!

The Lenovo Hub drivers had to be updated; however, this was not possible using the Mac platform / using my MacBook Pro.

The fix I came up with was to update the Hub online using a PC platform, and then reinstall the Hub back to the Mac station.

I hope this helps.

To all those following this thread...

If the original manufacturer of your DisplayLink-based product (Dell, HP, Targus, Plugable, etc.) has not been able to assist you, then I would suggest reporting the issue directly to DisplayLink by following the process outlined here --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...to-displaylink
