Default [10.15.1] DisplayLinkUserAgent > Screen Recorder

How does one get DisplayLinkUser Agent into the Privacy > Screen Recording settings when not prompted to do so? I've reinstalled numerous times and nothing. Am I missing something very simple?

I've attached my logs here both with the monitor plugged in and without. Catalina 10.15.2. Using the new alpha DisplayLink MacOS app. Would really appreciate some insight and resolution here. DisplayLink agent is not showing up in Screen Recording Security & Privacy options. Thanks in advance and let me know if more info would help!

In order to get the Targus docks to work with the latest Catalina update we had to use the following steps.

1) Install latest DisplayLink Beta driver
https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1498
2) Plug in the AC power adapter that came with the Mac
3) open the Security > Privacy > Screen Recording (Notice there is nothing to click)
4) Plug in the docking station (which also has its own power)
5) The DisplayLinkUserAgent checkbox will now show up so you can check it
6) Reboot and remove the AC Power Adapter

Once these steps were completed the docking station continued to function, until rebooted and the DisplayLink Manager software was not running.
Opening DisplayLink Manager and going to the settings to select "Launch at Startup" resolved this issue as well.

Hello,

@angrypanda, your DisplayLink device is not recognized under USB bus therefore no request for screen recording will be made. You have to make sure that your computer recognizes that our device is connected. You can follow this article for basic steps: https://support.displaylink.com/know...at-all-when-co

Also this request will not populate if you are not using DisplayLink powered device so make sure that it indeed uses our technology.

Thank you,
Katarzyna.
