Switching off the docking station power switch causes the PC speakers to loudly hum
If I turn off power to the docking station at its power switch, the PC speakers attached to the docking station hum extremely loudly disturbing all nearby. The PC speakers are attached with a 3.5mm audio plug.
This did not happen with my previous docking station, Targus ACP77AUZ, but does happen with the newer and current docking station, DOCK180AUZ. I have had the same PC speakers for both docking stations. The hum is so loud I am concerned it will damage my speakers and I doubt I would ever buy a Targus docking station again. Please fix this bug. My setup is: - DisplayLink docking station Targus DOCK180AUZ - Laptop with Windows 10, 64-bit, Version 20H2, Build 19042.388 - PC speakers connected via 3.5mm audio plug |

Hello,
DisplayLink does not design, manufacture or sell the docking stations for Targus. We provide the technology for video, audio and Ethernet inside. I recommend you contact Targus who can advise you on this, as this would be inappropriate for DisplayLink to comment on someone else's technology. Feel welcome to quote this message if needed. Kind regards, Alban
