Dell 8700 drivers incompatible with DisplayLink driver
Immediately after installing updated drivers (following Dell instructions) on my Dell XPS 8700, the computer notified me that the driver for my DisplayLink - Core Software v7.2.47873.0 Version 7, 2, 47873, 0 (64-bit) was incompatible with the system or software, and the third monitor did not come up (black, power on standby). I didn't note the new Dell driver version. I had created a restore point earlier and was able to restore to a working version of the computer, but I'm worried that I won't ever be able to update my Dell drivers on this computer. Computer is Windows 8, Intel i7-4770 with NVidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti. Any help?

I don't know which drivers it updated. I just got a notification from a task bar icon that new drivers had been downloaded and were ready for installation. I figured if it was from Dell it must be OK, but I was wrong. I haven't been notified since then of the availability of new drivers, but I expect that will be coming along.
