Thumbs down Missing cursor

I am a new product owner. I have the AOC I1659FWUX 15.6" USB-Powered Portable Monitor.

My first attempt to install DIsplayLink didn't go well, and I had to uninstall and reinstall, but then everything went ok, until I switched from "mirror display" to wanting to use an arrangement:

The display loads its unique desktop but the cursor disappears when I cross the display borders from my MacBook Air into the AOC. It recognizes it though because I can get my hot corners to respond and I was able to drag a window over into the display. I just can't see my cursor...

Not using any external mouse/trackpad.

Thanks for the help.
