Default New Windows Drivers Make me Dizzy/Headaches

Hello all,

The new drivers (ex. August 2024) instantly make me dizzy and cause headaches. The older driver (ex. May 2021) does not.

I noticed that the new driver is a lot more bright and seems to be passing through my GPU or maybe the OS settings? Is it just passing through brightness or allowing other signaling to come through?

Like others who post on the LedStrain.org website, I am desperately trying to figure out what specifically is triggering these symptoms.

Can anyone please share what the difference is between the new drivers and the older one that seems to block whatever harmful signaling is coming through? Ex. Is it dithering, PWM, frequency, etc. or something else being passed through. My hope is to disable whatever is causing this issue.

Thank you,

K.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

Please follow the steps in this article: How Can I Report Windows Issues to DisplayLink
And gather logfiles that will help me better understand the issue. Attach the output file to your next response.
For speedy support you can send them to technical-enquiries@synaptics.com.

If possible please include a short video or pic of the difference from these two versions
