Default display link on android xiaomi

I post on linux categorie as there is no android sub forum

I bought a sentio superbook which is a displaylink dock.
I noticed that it is very laggy with my Android pocophone F1.
When I display WhatsApp messages it is very smooth on my phone but very laggy on the screen for example.
I noticed something unexpected, indeed using the second screen app on Android with a high resolution (4k) it is much more smooth than when using a low resolution (480p).

My phone is a Xiaomi running on miui 10.2 and I tried to disable miui optimization from Android setting (developer settings) and to disable Android battery optimizations.

It will help many of the xiaomi users with the displaylink docks.

Looking forward to read you.

Hi

We have managed to reproduce this with a Pocophone F1, but it seems specific to this platform.

We have a bug for this and will try and investigate what is causing this.

Thanks

Wim

Hi, very good to read it.

If you need some help for testing, let me know.
I could assist with my pocophone.

Regards

Default display link on xiaomi

Yes it is possible, pocophone can output screen mirroring over usbc using the displaylink app.
You will need to buy a displaylink to hdmi converter like this one to convert usbc to hdmi : https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B013G4CJ..._Ov8UCb04VKKA6

Unfortunately there is a bug on the display link application for android on the pocophone and maybe with all the xiaomi phones, so it does not look smooth.

We are waiting some news from the display link technical team about it.

Hope it will be good news for the very huge community of the pocophone users
