Over in the Plugable support forums, suddenly this morning we have several reports of the latest DisplayLink auto-update causing DisplayLink devices not to work. System Restore back to prior driver version fixed it for one user.
http://getsatisfaction.com/plugable/...led_my_monitor http://getsatisfaction.com/plugable/...ectivity_issue http://getsatisfaction.com/plugable/..._driver_update It doesn't appear to affect every system - we haven't seen it in our labs yet (but are trying different combinations this morning). Posting here in case any other users are experiencing this also. Thanks, Bernie Thompson http://plugable.com/ |

I posted incorrectly, the auto-update installs version 5.3.25973.0, NOT 5.4.
Here's a thread going from problem to solution: http://getsatisfaction.com/plugable/...o_paper_weight |

Thanks for letting us know Bernie. I've raised a bug and our team is dealing with it.
