Default Intermittent Recognition of the MacBook Pro by the dock (D-6000)

Hi. I was previously running DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for macOS Release: 5.2.4 without issue. Catalina 10.15, mid 2017 MacBook Pro and a D-6000 dock and it worked great. I recently upgraded to the DisplayLink Manager Graphics Connectivity Release 1.2 in anticipation of upgrading to Big Sur, and have experienced an issue where the monitor is not detected when I plug it in. Mouse and Keyboard attached to a usb dongle on the D-6000 work fine. If I remove the HDMI connector from the dock and reconnect it, it's detected but that's kind of annoying.

If I move around ports, eventually it gets recognized (usually 3-5 swaps, but I can't notice a pattern) and my monitor kicks in. I'm still on Catalina until I get this sorted out.

Is there any common troubleshooting step or resolution I've missed on the forums?

Edit: Solved, but instructions for anyone who comes from the legacy software. You must launch the app (Display Link Manager), install the Login Screen Extension, give permission, add to startup. Which....isn't even in the release notes so I'm not sure why anyone would know to do this.
