Default More help...

Thank you for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate that.
I do not know anything about graphics drivers however.
Where do I get 'the 3rd party graphics driver' from? Displaylink? I cannot find anything there...
Thanks again in advance!

A new driver. Two months since last driver update! 6 months after the launch of Windows 8! An still the hardware does not work! No change AT ALL! Beware: If you have notebook with Intel AND nVidia combo, don't go DisplayLink.

Don't expect to much from DisplayLink (DL). I've made several attempts to get some help, with no luck. There's obviously no contact between DL, MS or nVidia, or for that matter ASUS, about this problem (DL?).

Lightbulb Workaround

I now have a discovered a procedure in getting my DisplayLink graphic adapter working:
1: Shut down the pc.
2: Switch of the monitor connected to the adapter
3: Plug in the adapter.
4: Boot up, and wait till everything has started up.
5: Plug in the monitor.
It works most of the times. Pretty annoying routine, none the less.
This also means, that whenever the notebook is "put to sleep" or restarted, the process must be run again

hello, from what I've gathered there is some sort of issue with my drivers or how my usb 3.0 ports see my usb screen.

I am using a mimo magic touch screen for work and now that I have upgraded to 8.1 every time the screen is connected my system will see the screen, connect, and then disconnect and cause my main screen to flicker, go black and then reset over and over again. Is this a driver issue? A issue on how my computer views the device or something else?

Please help.

I've attached the Display Link diagnostic file below.

Hi,

Only two of your four monitors are detected. (2x Asus VS247).

Do you have any other video cables you can try?

Thanks,
James
