Default When zoom meeting, the sound switches to laptop speakers

Anytime I connect to a zoom meeting, my sound switches to laptop speakers when it was just coming thru the speakers connected to my dock (WavLink: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01...e?ie=UTF8&th=1).

Anybody else encountering that?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us!
  • Can you tell me how do you have your audio set up in Zoom -> Settings -> Audio ?
  • Does the section for Speaker have the correct device selected or does it show your laptop?
  • Or if it is then when you join a meeting does it automatically switch from your preferred device to laptop speakers?

Thank you,
Katarzyna

thanks for the hint. I changed the Speaker setting to to "Same as System" and it worked. There was another option listed "Speakers (USB Audio Device" which I believe is pointing to my DisplayLink device and that option also did the trick.
