Default Club3D CSV-1477 Unable to get 5120x1080 resolution

Hi,

I am owner of a CSV-1477 adapter which supposedly should be able to support resolutions of up to 5120x2880@60Hz.

If I am not mistaken, the device is using DisplayLink DL6950 SOC.

However it is impossible to me to get higher resolution than 3840x1080@120Hz (even in lower refresh rate).

Whatever I do, I cannot get 5120x1080 resolution (60Hz or 100Hz would be fine)

I have contacted also Club3d support team but their suggestions didn't get me to a result.

The display I am trying to connect to is SAMSUNG C49RG90 which supports max resolution of 5120x1080@120Hz.

And official monitors drivers have been already installed.

I am attaching the logs from the DL troubleshoot tool.

Any ideas are welcome,

Regards

Hello Afam,

Thank you for the details, this is helpful.

I can confirm the adaptor you are using uses the DisplayLink DL-6950 chip.
That ASIC supports upto 4K-wide on each output.
The adaptor drives the 5K on DisplayPort tiled displays by driving each tile with a DisplayPort cable.

I don't believe the display you are using is a tiled display, therefore you cannot drive it as a single display in Windows with that adapter. The display should have a (bezel-less) split screen feature. It will appear as two displays in Windows (each at 2560x1080), but is still driven at the full resolution, using 2 DisplayPort cable.

Kind regards,
Alban
