Default Win 8.1 & Belkin USB 3.0 Dual Video Docking Stand

My Windows 8.1 Pro notebook (Asus Zenbook) does not detect the Belkin USB 3.0 dock when installing Displaylink software. In other words, no DisplayLink icon appears in the taskbar after DisplayLink software is installed.

DisplayLink works fine with my Targus USB 3.0 dock on the same notebook.

Can anyone help?

It should work the same, as both products use the DL-3900. Does our device appear in device manager?

I have the same problem; I have a Surface PRO 2 that works great with this plugable device:

But it does not work with the Belkin USB 3.0 dock. The dock is connected ok; (a USB key put into the dock is seen on the computer) but nothing appears in the device manager - there is no USB Display Adapters.

Running the display link support tool I get a "Warning: Device not attached". I know it is because the USB ports work. And I know it's getting power because disabling power disables the dock and the USB key attached stops working.

Presume this is a faulty device and needs to be returned.
