Default Display Link 1.6 beta fails install on new Thunderbolt Macbook Pros

I just attempted to install the DisplayLink driver on my Thunderbolt Macbook Pro 17". The install proceeds normally but fails with an "Error: install could not be completed" at the end.

I tried installing the 1.5 release as well, but that fails the pre-install check.

Any insights would be much appreciated. If not, I'll have to return the device, as it is not Mac-compatible as advertised.

You may have something else going on. I had rotation issues and uninstalled and re-installed it without issue.

Did you move your stuff over with TimeMachine? Maybe there's a permissions issue.

Try doing a disk repair with Disk Utility and see if that helps.

Default Sorry, false alarm

Repairing permissions and reinstalling the driver did the trick. Many thanks.

I tried repairing permissions but get a few errors in the syslog:
"... PackageKit: *** Missing bundle identifier: ..."
