Default MB Pro M1 x Asus MB16AMT

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019 - Intel) with MacOS Monterey 12.5 installed and after installing the DisplayLink Manager 1.7.1, allowing the Screen Recording and connecting my Asus MB16AMT monitor via either USB-C or HDMI, it still shows the message of "No DisplayLink-enabled display connected".

Can someone help me?

Thanks

Hello,

If you connect the monitor via Micro-HDMI connection then it works like a any regular monitor which will not go through DisplayLink Manager. Also this monitor mixes two technologies - one is DisplayLink and one Alt-mode. Based on the product description the USB-C to USB-C connection uses Alt-mode technology. So in both cases you would not see the monitor detected by DisplayLink Manager. DisplayLink would be used when USB-A connection is in use (USB Type-C cable and Type-C to A adapter for example).

Perfect, it worked and it's now recognized by DisplayLink! Thank you.

The issue now is that the Touch function does not work. Any other tips?

Hello,

Touch functions are not provided by DisplayLink, you would have to consult issues with this functionality with the manufacturer of the monitor. I believe that touch is limited in MacOS but as I mentioned, best to consult with manufacturer directly.
