Default Overheating

Hi
I've got Ubuntu 16.04 and Nvidia 500m. And I've installed the driver from displaylink which works fine but after a while it heats up and force my laptop to shutdown. is there any way to control the overheating on displaylink driver?

I can also confirm that it overheats. The docking station was working a while on Ubuntu 16.10 (~2 weeks) and now I cannot even see the login form. Seen the overheating messages in the logs.

This is news to me. What is the message exactly? Can you post some logs?

Cheers,
Michal
