USB2 -> HDMI - not getting the resolution i want
Hi:
i have tried looking through the forms for an answer but coming up short. i just got one of these. i have connected it to an old laptop. running Windows 7 32bit. the display shows up on my TV just fine, but not at a resolution i want. I am looking for 1080 HD. the tv DEFINATELY supports 1080i resolutions, as seen with my XBOX 360, PS3, and Other Laptop with HDMI out built in. i have checked to make sure all of the graphics drivers, and device drivers for the adapter are up to date. the list doesnt event have any options above 720. is there anything i can do to get 1080 out of this setup? If I had to guess, the adapter might be outputting a 1080p signal and your TV only supports 1080i, so instead it downscales to 720 resolution. I've seen that happen before with earlier generation HDTVs.
If that is not the issue, you should collect the information when the problem is happening with the debug tools and post them in your next post. This will help the devs when they look at the issue. http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 Last edited by luiset83; 04-25-2013 at 08:22 PM. |
