Default MacBook Pro M1Pro - Dell WD15

New here -- just got a new Macbook Pro M1 Pro and trying to use my Dell WD15 dock for multiple displays. It didn't work out of the box. When plugging into the dock directly via thunderbolt 4, it did detect one display, but it's blank.

Everything else that's plugged into the dock works, like the power, webcam/external mouse, and ethernet. When downloading and installing DisplayLink, it doesn't detect any displays at all, even though my Macbook does detect one.

I've tried disabling "Displays have separate Spaces" in mission control, but no luck.

Any feedback or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

Dell WD15 does not use DIsplayLink technology. It won't be able to communicate with our drivers because of that. It would be best to reach out to the manufacturer of the dock for further support.

Cheers,
Katarzyna
