Default DisplayLink Lenovo Dock USB 3 : network lost after screensaver mode

Hello

thank for your work that's very helpful

Some quick remark (without real investigation on my side)

- Sometime after waking up from the screen saver mode I notice that's my network connectivity from my Displaylink Lenovo USB 3 is lost.

For testing I'm connecting the network cable directly to the laptop without using the displaylink ethernet port and the network come back.

So the issue seems to be on the displaylink network port.

Here the log of the crash (I suppose, but i'm not sure).
The issue seems related to "intel_powerclamp: Start idle injection to reduce power"

and here the errors log related to the network interface which never connect again.
It's seems to be related to a DHCP error ?

Default static IP

Try setting a static IP address on your USB interface. Edit the The Network Manager is infamous for causing problems.

"/etc/network/interfaces" is your config file

https://wiki.debian.org/NetworkConfi...rnet_Interface

If your static settings remain when you reboot, restart the network service, unplug the USB, or go into sleep, then you know it is DHCP. If you have problems with Screen saver after this, then there may be something to dive into.

problem seems solved since i disabled the mod intel_powerclamp:

sudo rmmod intel_powerclamp
sudo echo install intel_powerclamp /bin/true >intel_powerclamp.conf
