Unhappy Apple TV: Has Audio but No Video

Hello! I'm just wondering if this is a software issue but I've tried everything from changing HDMI cables to making sure that video actually plays on my mac and etc... but none of the movies/shows on my Apple TV streaming app display any video on my monitor and can only hear audio. Is this a software or hardware issue? I did try connecting my mac directly to my monitors with HDMI and VGI cable as well as trying other types of docking stations and they actually work. I only experience this issue when I dock my Mac to the Wavlink docking station. I hope someone could help me troubleshoot this issue. Thanks!

I think I just figured it out. Apple TV, Netflix, Prime, Disney+ all have restrictions during screen recording. Because Displaylink requires screen recording, that is why we can only get audio of this. I don't think it's an issue of displaylink, but a limitation set by the streaming services. Disappointing.

Wow, just wow! If I knew from the start that I'll be having these issues then I wouldn't have purchased this docking station in the first place. Thanks though!

Hello,

To solve this problem, you must insert an HDMI splitter (HDCP will be eliminated)

Sorry, I'm having this issue. Can you elaborate on this please? Where do you put the splitter?

This is why I think AppleTV is the worst device of Apple. I don't understand people buying this device because you can do practically nothing with it, as a device that works with video files. The default Apple video player is awful, and you can't download other video players on AppleTV. Luckily, it is possible to download other video players on other devices, and personally, on my MacBook, I am using VLC. I have downloaded it from okaapps.com, and since I am using it, I have never had a problem watching any video file.
