Question Change Default Behaviour for Targus Docking Stations via Reg

Hi. Sorry to necro this thread. It's the only thing that comes up when I google "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DisplayLink\Products\ DefaultProduct\OnNewDevice".

I also found this key and was also wondering what the value options for "Activity" are.

I just purchased 46 Targus DisplayLink docks for a pilot office and would like to be able to push out a registry change for the default behaviour, here, to see whether it is appropriate for the next office rollout.

As standard I would like it set to "Set as main monitor". But it would be nice to know my options further to this.

Default

Hello,

This is not something we publicly document as it would mean it needs to be maintained and we are a bit dependant on the OS. For instance, we will lose the ability to change the default in the upcoming Windows 10 anniversary update, as overriding the default is a failure to pass their test... No pass -> no MS signature -> no driver on Windows Update and a warning to accept our certificate!

Would you please be able to try "Primary"?

Kind regards,
Alban
