Default 5.3b2 says it is not compatible with my USB ports

ok, I'm running Windows 7 x86 on an older Sony Viao PCG-GRT250P.

Windows 7 is not supported by Sony on this laptop.

most everything is working ok, but, when I install the software (which does the bare minimum install ok) and then plug in the adapter, after it saying that it's installing the software etc, I get to a point where it tells me that the USB port on the computer is not compatible.

this is very odd.

the same thing happens when I use the 5.2 version of the software as well, but, when I was running Windows XP on this same laptop, the driver was happy with the USB port, and the adapter worked just fine.

so, now I'm using Windows 7, it doesn't work.

what other information do you need?

regards,
peter.

Hi Peter

What is the exact error message that you get and how does it appear. The only problem that springs to mind for this is this:

Thanks
