Exclamation Win 7 Ultimate 64bit HP DisplayLink issue

Hi,

I'm having trouble installing the displaylink software on my pc. It is a win 7 Ultimate 64bit HP computer.

The latest version of driver seems to install, but it does not start, no icon in the tray. However, There is a process in the taskmanger. Service is also running. device is not recognized by the windows.

It is funny that when I installed the software from the provided CD, the device was initially recognized by the windows and I had dual display for a few seconds, and then I received a message that the installed driver/software is not compatible with this version of windows.

I have attached a support tool diagnostic report/file to this posting with the latest driver installed.

Please help.

thanks.
Abbas

I would have expected to see a System Details.txt file in your logs, but its not there. I suspect the problem is that you do not have a WDDM graphics driver installed for your primary graphics card. This article could help:
