Default Secondary Display on Wake

Frequently I'm noting that my secondary displays via my Targus dock will not show up after coming out of hybrid sleep mode.

This is on a Surface Pro running 8.1/9341 and the beta DisplayLink drivers that have been posted in this forum. It worked fine with prior RTM DisplayLink drivers and Windows 8.0.

I couldn't see a known issues list to compare this to - let me know how I can help debug.

Additional info: when this scenario occurs, my external monitors display nothing. The Surface Pro's monitor is powered up and displays .. nothing.

If I tap my finger on the Surface Pro monitor or drag across it, I see the touch indicators. Also I can move the mouse to the display and see the pointer.

Knowing that the non-displaying monitor is displaying a logon prompt, I can enter my credentials and logon blindly. The Surface Pro monitor will then display the desktop or Start screen, and I can move apps over to it.

The only way out of this condition is rebooting the machine from a cold start.

Hi,

A few questions:

Does this happen after every resume from hybrid sleep?
Does it also happen with the normal sleep option?
Is your Surface mains or battery powered when this happens?
What is hybrid sleep set to sleep after in minutes on the Surface?

I've been unable to reproduce this on a Samsung 700T tablet + Targus ACP70 on 8.1.

Can you run through this guide and post the logs?http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=896

Thanks,
James
