Default D6000 Surface Pro adaptor

Hi,
I have a Surface Pro 4 with Surface Connect/USBC adaptor - Windows 10 1909.

When connected to the D6000 all peripherals work, graphics, USB, sound, ethernet - but power does not.

The white LED on Surface Adaptor lights up for a couple of seconds (indicating power), but then goes off.

The same issue happens with a newer Surface 7 - though it works perfectly off USBC only.

The Surface Pro 4 works fine with a Surface Dock - I have tried various power supplies, a 130W DELL, a 90W Microsoft (came with the Surface Dock).

I have latest software and firmware - any thoughts?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

The setup you have described will not work on Surface Pro 4 as the Surface Connect to USB-C adapter works only on Surface Pro 5 or newer.

It has been described in the following article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...-adapter-setup

Best regards,
Jakub
