Arrow Single VGA/HDMI source to 12 DisplayLink monitors

Hi all,

I'm looking to setup a 12 seat conference table, with 12x 14" DisplayLink monitors (like the Lenovo LT1421), one for each seat.

The idea is that any of the users can grab a VGA/HDMI cable (a single cable for the whole table is OK) and share their laptop screen with every other screen around the table (simple clone).

My original idea was just to use HDMI monitors and a large HDMI splitter, however I really like the Lenovo model and since it uses DisplayLink I'm wondering if it's possible to achieve what I want.

I cannot rely on client drivers being installed on the user's computers, so I really need a way to convert standard VGA/HDMI to DisplayLink.

Then there is the issue of splitting the same source to 12 monitors. I assume USB hubs will not have enough power for so many monitors.

Any ideas and/or links to products that can help me will be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards

DFF
