Default 2019 16” MacBook Pro with MacOS Monterey

2019 16” MacBook Pro with MacOS Monterey 12.5.1 using a Asus Zenscreen MB165B but I can’t get it to be recognised to save my life

Any hints or tips? I’m using the cable supplied into a USB C - USB3 converter

Thanks

Gary

If the monitor is not powering on, it could be that the monitor is not getting sufficient power via the single USB connection.

Electronic page 10 of the manual for your monitor --> https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/L...5B_English.pdf suggests connecting a second USB cable to the monitor's USB 2.0 micro-B port in order to get additional power into the monitor.

Good afternoon; I ran into a similar problem about a month ago and could help you if your question is still relevant. I would like someone to answer me like that and offer their help, but unfortunately, there was no such thing, and I solved this problem on my own. It turned out that I needed to thoroughly clean my computer for it to start working normally again without constant shutdowns, although I was also thinking of buying a new one. An article about the release of the space for mac helped me. So please do not rush to throw away your old computer; perhaps it will still be able to serve you for some amount of time.
