Default Internal laptop display inactive

Machine info can be found in the logs, basically I am using a lenovo Y700 with recent Ubuntu and a lenovo USB3-dock.

It works alright, but the internal display of the laptop is inactive and can not be detected by any configuration tool.

Could this be related to the usage of recent nvidia-driver? do I have to change to the open source driver to get both displays to work?
