Default Device issue after upgrade to MacOS 10.15.4

Hi,

Trying to install DisplayLink macOS App beta 0.2 on MacOS 10.15.4 seems to fail in the final step? (see screenshot)

I see the DisplayLink Manager under Screen recording and it's ticked. Connecting my dock doesn't trigger any reaction.

Before everything worked like a charme.

Added my collected logs....

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

I will need additional information to run the proper analysis of the installation process.

May you please gather Installer Log for me and attach them in your response?

To do so, please follow the below guide:

1.Go to Window option on the App menus with our installer opened.
2.Look there for Installer Log and open it.
3.In the newly opened window, change the filter for Show All Logs and start the installation.

This will gather additional logs from the installation process. After the installation stops due to the error message please Save the logs by using icon on the right upper corner.

Thank you for attaching these logs and your actions.

Kind regards,
Jakub

Attached you'll find my installer log. I removed Displaylink Manager first, did a reboot and installed again.

Hello Pascal,

Thank you for your patience.

Our Engineering team is right now running the analysis and yes, they did find some error messages in installation logs.

I have some further questions for you to answer in order to establish the main cause of the installation failing:

1. When you start the installation process, do you use a user that has the admin rights?
2. Do you start our installer by double click or from a terminal?
3. Do you have any security options enabled that could prevent the installer from running?
4. Before installation, did you use any of our driver? If you had a classical driver, did you uninstall it first before installing BETA?

Thank you in advance for your response, this will for sure help our Engineers in further analysis.

Kind regards,
Jakub

Hi Jakub,

1. Yes I'm an administrator
2. I tried both ways
3. No security options in place (that I know of)
4. Before I was running an earlier beta version

Best regards,
Pascal

Default Does DisplayLink work with MacOS 10.15.4?

I notice that Apple released MacOS 10.15.4 last night. Has anyone tried to upgrade to this and does DisplayLink still work?

Thanks,

Ian.

Have attempted today on a Dell D6000 and had no end of trouble with either the 5x drivers or the beta version. with 5.x the displays are not detected at all, Beta 0.5.25 ends up in a loop of detection and resolution changing which also never results in the displays being detected. Learn from my mistakes and wait it out.

I had to update my Mac for some other reason so I went ahead and updated this too. It all seems to work as before.
