Default Monitors not recognized in Ubuntu 16.04

Fresh install of stock ubuntu 16.04. When I plug in the displaylink, it powers on the monitor for a moment, but then it turns back off. The monitor does not show up in the display settings of Ubuntu.

Hi,

I see you have secure boot enabled, and your dmesg doesn't show any signs of evdi kernel module being loaded, therefore DisplayLinkManager doesn't even start.

You must sign evdi yourself, or disable secure boot.

Cheers,
Michal

Thanks. I did so, and the screens did turn on. (Yea!) Unfortunately, when they came on the system slowed down to a crawl. It's bad enough that I had to uninstall the driver, because I couldn't use it that way. I attached another debug file. Thanks!
