Default Version v1.4.210 of DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Ubuntu released

Hi,

We've just released a refreshed version of our Ubuntu driver, v1.4.210.
You can download it from our download page, as usual.

It delivers the following improvements:
  • EVDI version 1.5.0 is packaged in the installer, making the driver compatible with Linux kernels up to v4.14.
  • General bugfixes and improvements
Intel GPU users and others using modesetting: please ensure you are familiar with a thread describing problems with modesetting driver's default settings.

As always, looking forward to feedback - please use separate threads if you encounter issues!

Please do attach logs for any reports - use our Linux support tool to collect necessary diagnostic files.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The evdi kernel module has no signature, which means systems with Secure Boot enabled won't load it. In order for the driver to work, you need to either sign the kernel module yourself, or disable Secure Boot. More help on AskUbuntu thread explaining similar solution for VirtualBox modules.

Thanks,
Michal
