Default Different colours between PC and TV.

Hi, just found this forum, hope someone can help.
We have the Q-waves Quicklink system to send the display from the laptop to the TV.
The TV is a Philips and the Laptop is a Samsung R522, using Windows Vista Home premium 32 bit.
The problem we have is that when using the Q-waves device, everything is OK except that the colours are different. I.E. on the Google search page, on the laptop the "G" in Google is blue, but red on the TV screen.
We connected the laptop to the TV with a HDMI cable and all the colours were perfect !
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you,
Kelvin

Sounds like a faulty cable or product, so not all the video signal is being transmitted or received by the TV.

Thank you for your reply. Thought I had solved it by using an HDMI cable. Yesterday it was working fine, tonight we sat down to watch a film from the internet on our TV via an HDMI cable. Picture was OK on the TV (colours not perfect), but no sound on the TV, only on the laptop. I think I will check my drivers, and buy a new top quality HDMI cable. Any pointers would be greatly received, but thank you anyway.

Don't waste your money on a new HDMI cable yet! You should be able to route the audio from the laptop to the USB audio device (HDMI adapter) under Control Panel->Audio. I think this will solve it and its nothing to do with the HDMI cable.

Seems to be like a bit of a problem in tv or something, so not all the video sign is being approved on or acquired by the TV.

I used to have a similar problem and it was a cable issue
