Default M1 MacBook Pro 2020 only duplicating screens

I have bought a MacBook Pro (M1) and I am trying to have dual monitors and I cannot get past the part where it tells me to allow DisplayLink to connect and it’s not telling me where to go to. I am using a HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G5 as my docking station. Any solutions?

Go to "System Settings" > "Displays" > Select each display and then under it you can see a "Use as" where you select if you want to extent it, etc.
