Default external monitor turns off

Hello,

I am using Ubuntu 16.04 on Dell Latitude. The DisplayLink docking station seems to work perfectly at first sight but then the external monitor turns off after a random time interval (this can be seconds or even an hour).

I attach the output of the DLSupportTool.

I would be very glad if someone could help me.

Kind regards,
Walter

Hi,

Can you check if disabling USB autosuspend helps?

Hi,

thank you for your prompt response.

According to the instructions, I created the file `/etc/default/tlp` and inserted there `USB_AUTOSUSPEND=0`. I also created the file `/etc/udev/rules.d/01-usb-dock.rules` and copied the corresponding text.

After rebooting, the problem is unfortunately not solved.

Do you have maybe other ideas?

Walter
