Only allows 1 display after 13.3.1 update
I've been using two displays on my macbook air M2. However, after I updated to Ventura 13.3.1 only one of my displays is working.
I have updated my display link software to 1.8.1, rebooted the computer, and ensured the display link has permission to record the screen. None of which had any effect. Any ideas on what I need to do to get both external displays working again? |

Hello,
This has happened to me a few times after updates. I also have a M2 chip. Each time I had to complete uninstall Display Link, and reboot. Then reinstall the software. Hopefully this works for you too! Now I keep a copy of the installation file in a safe spot for easy access when I need it. Good luck! |

Hello,
If you are having issues after updating to a higher version of the OS please make sure to check if the docking station/video adapter is detected under the USB bus. For instructions check: My DisplayLink device does not work at all when connecting on macOS X If the device is not detected, please powercycle the docking station. So unplug it from the computer and power for 15-30 seconds and re-plug power and the USB cable. Test if it is working.

Only 1 Display Works after 13.3.1 (a) Update
I am having the same issue - after the update, only the first display works. I have updated my drivers and my docking station is also being detected by my Mac. I have a MacBook Pro with an M1 chip.

Same issue
Same problem. D6000, M1 Pro. After updating to 13.3.1 and further to 13.4, an external monitor connected via hdmi stopped working. Version 1.8.1, firmware A04
Clean OS, first install displaylink (laptop just issued by employer) upd: only one monitor (hdmi) connected, no other devices or monitors are connected to the docking station Last edited by shidoh; 05-26-2023 at 05:15 AM. |

Double check the refresh rate
I was having a similar issue, and in the System Setting > Displays, I saw that both of my monitors were being detected, but only one was working. It turns out that when I updated my computer, it reset the Refresh rates to 75hz, but my docking station only supports 60hz via USB. So changing my second monitor to 60hz fixed the issue immediately.

1 display only
I just bought the doc, am running Ventura 13.4 and all newly installed software, and it only recognizes a single display from my MacBook Air M2. Very frustrating.
