Safari Issues and Background Images

I am having an intermittent problem where immediately after I startup my Mac and DisplayLink, I'll open Safari and can navigate to a webpage but cannot interact with it (e.g. I go to Google but I can't type anything in or I go to Facebook and can't scroll or click on my notifications). I'm forced to do a restart each time and the restart doesn't always work. Any ideas?

My second problem is consistent but minor: The background image I've selected for my third screen always resets to the default Mac image rather than the picture I've assigned to it. Any ideas?

I have the same problem with navigation, on youtube for example, it takes several minutes until I can interact with the site. If I turn off the external monitors and just stay on the integrated screen, everything goes back to normal instantly.
