Lenovo USB 3.0 Dock with more than 2 monitors
Hi,
I am currently using the older USB-DVI adapter that works with USB 2. I want to get a new Lenovo laptop that has USB 3. However, I currently use a lenovo docking station that gives me a displayport, and DVI for 2 of the monitors. I use the USB to DVI adapter for the 3rd monitor. With the new laptop, if I buy the Lenovo USB 3.0 dock which has 2 DVI outputs, how would I get the 3rd monitor to work using a new USB 3 adapter? Is it even possible? Do I connect it to the Lenovo dock, or directly to the laptop? The older 2.0 adapters claim to be able to have up to 6 external monitors. Basically, what are my options? One other question: http://www.targus.com/us/usb3/videoadapter.aspx Is the supported 2048x1152 for each monitor, or combined between the 2? Could I use something like this with my first question? |
