Default Problem with videocard.

Dear people,

I recently bought a dockingstation (Club 3d ultra smart dockingstation). This device seems to work fine with the most recent drivers. However, my laptop (HP zbook G4) has got 2 gpu's. Whenever i launch an application which is more graphics intense, such as Cities Skylines, it remains using the integrated gpu. I want it to use the dedicated nvidia GPU. This problem only occurs whenever the laptop is docked.

I tried to update all drivers: displaylink, intel, nvidia. But that didn't really work out. Also i tried using the dedicated GPU on an external monitor connected trough HDMI, this worked, but completly bypasses the dockingstation.

I think the nvidia card doesn't register the two external monitors once they're connected trough the USB-port, because i can't even open the nvidiacontrolpanel whenever my laptop is docked.

My current system is running on windows 10 (creators update)

Do you guys have any idear what to do?

Hello,

I'm afraid this is an OS limitation.
You would need to report it through the Windows 10 Feedback Hub so Microsoft understands this is an issue.
We have reported it but they have asked for end users to flag this, so they get a real feedback on the impact and therefore can justify prioritising the work.

Kind regards,
Alban
