Macbook pro only picking up one screen from dock
I recently got two monitors and an HP dock to be sure that I could utilise them for my MacBook, admittedly it is an Intel Iris Graphics but it seems that if my displays are plugged into the port I can only have a mirror of one of them whereas if I plug one into a thunderbolt port I can get separate screens. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Here is the dock: https://www.hp.com/nz-en/shop/hp-uni...b-50h55aa.html My MacBook pro is the 2016 13" with 4 thunderbolt 3 ports. |

According to the information provided by HP for your HP docking station --> https://support.hp.com/us-en/product...17?sku=50H55AA the docking station you are using does NOT have DisplayLink hardware inside of it. As a result, DisplayLink will not be able to assist you. Your description of the behavior suggests that the HP dock has a DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (aka DP MST) hub inside of the unit. Macs do NOT support DP MST, which is why your displays are mirrored. |

https://eu.ugreen.com/products/copy-...ocking-station Looks well manufactured, has aluminum casing and is the same (very similar) color as the space-gray macbook pro. Can report next week, how does it cope with 2 external monitors. |
