Default Startech usb32hddvii DL2700 - driver not loading

The device driver for my Startech usb32hddvii (DL3900) is not loading. W7-64 is reporting a 28 error. This device was running fine until I upgraded the device drivers for the Intel 4000 (driver 9.17.10.3040) and Nvida NVS 5200M (driver 9.18.13.2762). I am running on a Dell E6430 laptop. The system and the device pass the support-tool tests; the output of the tool is attached. No errors are reported when I plug the device into the USB port. How can I get this device to work again? Thanks.

Hi,

Can you try the following:

1. Disconnect your dock
2. Uninstall DisplayLink software
3. Download and run this tool http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=297
4. Install DisplayLink software
5. Reconnect your dock

Thanks,
James

Thank you for your support. However, your method did not solve the problem. What next?

I was able to get the display to work using the method listed at the bottom of this thread: http://displaylink.org/forum/showthr...816#post74816; however, the audio does not work and the firmware was not upgraded. The hardware IDs are: USB\VID_17E9&PID_4301&REV_0236 and USB\VID_17E9&PID_4301 I used the device driver for 4301. Why doesn't the driver load automatically? how can I get audio to work?
