Smile Success!

My second of two 24in HP ZR24w IPS monitors has been an expensive paper weight for the last few months. But this update is working fine on my late 2011 Macbook Pro 15in.

I am using it in portrait mode with no issues. Still a title slow and choppy on the display, but no more than it had been before.

Thanks DisplayLink

Working for me on 10.7.3 with a rotated Dell 2209WA display connected via USB hub to a 2010 Macbook Pro Core i7.

Thanks for providing the alpha.

EDIT: Trying to launch Adium while existing chat windows are on the rotated display crashes the app immediately.

Default Clamshell mode working?

Hi,
Can anyone please report if the following is still a problem with this driver?

If using a Mac laptop without an external monitor attached, and closing the lid, attaching a displaylink monitor, USB keyboard, USB mouse, and power, the computer wakes up as expected, but a phantom internal monitor is still detected and cannot be disabled without rebooting the 'puter. (This phantom monitor only showed up with recent displaylink adapters installed.)

Thanks!
-Jeff

Thumbs down Does not work for me...

Does not work for me:
  • Uninstall driver (reboot)
  • Install latest 1.8 alpha driver (reboot)
  • Plug in USB DL-195 (Plugable UGA-2K-A)
  • The DisplayLink monitor does not show up in the display list
  • "Detect Displays" doesn't help
  • Reseating the DVI plug on the USB adapter doesn't help
  • Monitor (HP ZR24w) scans DisplayPort, DVI and VGA and doesn't find a signal. The USB adapter is connected via DVI.
  • Same behavior on other USB ports on the machine.

Code:
USB Display Adapter:

  Product ID:	0x8060
Vendor ID:	0x17e9 (DisplayLink (UK) Ltd.)
  Version:	0.17
  Speed:	Up to 480 Mb/sec
  Manufacturer:	DisplayLink
  Location ID:	0xfa130000 / 6
  Current Available (mA):	500
Current Required (mA):	Unknown (Device has not been configured)
Machine: late-2011 Unibody MacBook Pro 13" i7 running OS X 10.7.3.

Is there any further info I can provide to help debug?

Default almost there 1 of 2

Thanks for the drivers! I have 2 monitors attached with usb displaylink to MacBook Air 13" i5. One shows rotation option and works great the other shows no rotation option but does display the screen in landscape mode. They are both Dell 2007FP in Portrait mode. I have two different displaylink devices, one is USHow 165 and the other is a Diamond 195. If only one is plugged in on reboot, it shows the rotation option but adding the second it does not so its not a 165/195 thing as far as I can tell.
How can I help diagnose?

Sorry everyone, we kept this thread open by mistake: we usually keep driver releases closed so you are invited to open separate threads for specific topics.
It's great to see all this feed back, but if you are experiencing issues please open a new thread.
If we try to answer to all topics in the same thread it soon would become impossible to understand what's going on!

Cheers
Carlo
