2nd Monitor not working!

Argh! Honestly I have had enough! I am using the displaylink USB adapter for my 2nd monitor (going into my work pc). We're a small business so I only have my self to support my IT needs. I thought it was supposed to be easy but everytime I reboot my 2nd monitor (plugged into usb adapter) goes black and says theres no signal, resulting into it going to sleep.

I have no idea why and actually how I get it working. I keep on spending hours trying to get it working and then eventually it comes on but there doesn't seem to be any consistency with what makes it come on.

Can anyone help me? I'm on windows 8. I don't have time to spend another 1.5 hours trying to get this damn thing working again!

Hi,

As soon as the issue is seen please attach the output of this tool:
http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269
Once downloaded, please run it and select "Gather Support Information"

When you reply please select "Manage Attachments" from the "Additional Options" section below.

From there select Upload and navigate to the output of the tool which will be in a folder called "DisplayLink Support Files" on your desktop.
